Bo is responsible for managing large, complex projects and is the leader of a group of telecommunications design specialists. He is known for his team mentorship and responsiveness to clients throughout a project’s lifespan. In the coming years, Bo looks forward to continuing to expand Newcomb & Boyd’s presence in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast markets. He is skilled in the design of physical networks, convergence of numerous technologies over networks, and assessment, procurement, negotiation, and provisioning of networking and special technologies.
Brett is passionate about building authentic client relationships and enthusiastic about aligning planning with execution to achieve project goals. Brett combines technical expertise with a genuine commitment to people. He is known for steady guidance, collaborative leadership, and a teaching mindset that empowers clients and teams. Outside work, he hosts Nashville Anthems, a podcast nearing its 100th episode.
Britton partners with stakeholders to translate vision into solutions. He focuses on holistic design, ensuring systems function seamlessly and feel intuitive and reliable. He advises on technology strategies, evaluates options, provides detailed cost data, and coordinates teams to deliver AV systems that are resilient, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. Outside the office, Britton and his family balance avid travel with life on their rural property.
Jason leads the Charleston office by building lasting partnerships and delivering engineering excellence with integrity and responsiveness. He guides client decisions on complex projects, develops innovative solutions, and drives interdisciplinary teamwork. His military background as a commander in the United States Naval Reserve instilled discipline and collaboration that continue to shape his work with clients and colleagues.
Juli, a Mechanical Engineer, demonstrates her passion for design and problem-solving through her love for buildings. With expertise in healthcare buildings, Juli’s engineering philosophy centers on future-oriented thinking and staying abreast of industry innovations. She emphasizes effective communication, understanding client goals, and fostering open dialogue. With a focus on serving the greater good, she guides individuals toward happiness and success. Beyond work, Juli is a pianist, self-taught church organist, and choir contributor. Her proudest achievement is her family.
Matt’s role as a Principal and Electrical Engineer keeps him on his toes. He enjoys the challenge of maintaining a proactive mindset, keeping ahead of issues before they arise. Having joined the firm as a co-op, he brings a sense of reliability, dependability, and competence to every project, along with a friendly demeanor. His overarching goal is to have our clients walk away thinking they just had the best engineering experience of their career.
Michael delivers people- and process-driven solutions in cybersecurity, intelligent buildings, and information systems. He leads the firm’s Design-to-Operate approach, guiding decisions on risk, compliance, and technology adoption. He drives secure, scalable, and adaptable outcomes while embracing emerging design technologies that transform the industry. He enjoys reading, music, and nonprofit service.
Growing up, Walker was exposed to the world of engineering for the built environment by his father, who was a mechanical engineer. Walker is drawn to solving complex problems and sees each challenge as an opportunity to prove himself and deliver. Above all, Walker values client satisfaction and strives to make working with him an enjoyable experience. He credits having an agreeable and helpful demeanor to developing strong relationships with his project teams. In his role as Principal and Studio Director, Walker is excited to mentor new team leaders at Newcomb & Boyd. One of the best pieces of advice he has received is to never stop learning. He stays updated with the industry’s latest news and innovations by working with clients to develop innovative designs for unique project requirements, as well as speaking at conferences. Walker’s proudest accomplishment is being a father to his three children, and at the top of his bucket list, he hopes to catch a game at every Major League Baseball stadium.
